His mother was exceedingly intuitive and encouraged him in every way to be more empathetic and sensitive to people. His father was demanding and self-centered and Alex perfected his abilities to anticipate through telepathy whatever pleased his father most as a means of trying to get his father's approval. His interest in both art and music also contributed to his unfolding sensitivity. Having first intended to pursue an art career he then switched to music as a more practical means of sustaining himself outside of his family. It was his pursuit of a musical career that brought him to New York City as a very young man. During his early days in New York he encountered a number of people who were themselves involved in psychic things. One of whom sent him to a man by the name of Clifford Bias (who was later to become his teacher and mentor) for a psychic reading during which Bias told him many true things as well as saying that Alex would one day be doing the work that he was doing. Alex did not fully comprehend the meaning of these words at the time and continued his musical career as a professional bass player freelancing in New York City
His teachers, both being older persons, wanted him to take over for them in their work, but Alex still held the notion that he was going to spend his life in the music profession. They urged him to consider the possibility that a life of service and spiritual work was not only more significant but more satisfying as a life work. So, Alex said, “Well, if the force wishes me to do this work, I'm ready. But I need to see in real terms that it is a work that can sustain me in all ways materially as well as spiritually for at least three months. And if I see that, then I will accept the challenge and do it.”
As Bias and Agatha grew older, he continued his studies, turning to other teachers as well. He studied Numerology with the famed author and teacher Vera Scott Johnson as well as tarot with the well-known lecturer and reader Burtram “Burt” Heckel. He also studied Astrology with Charles House. Agatha also taught him how to be a healing channel for which she was internationally famous. From that time on, Alex let his career be guided by the forces that worked with him both on earth and on the other side. Without any plan or strategy, his career proceeded to unfold, growing in many directions simultaneously. During that time, he was sought by many kinds of persons for a variety of reasons. Some sought private information of a personal nature through readings. Others sought to grow spiritually through the channeling of spiritual masters and teachers, which he did for groups on a weekly basis (and still continues to do.) Others sought to learn through his workshops and seminars while there were those who sought information on larger issues and global matters including political leaders, news paper and television reporters, and authors.
At this time Alex made a number of famous predictions. One of which was the election of an unknown candidate as president of Brazil , Fernando Collor De Mello, which happened as he predicted. This and other predictions drew the attention of the press and news media and since that time, he has been frequently interviewed by both concerning psychic events and, from time to time, asked to make psychic predictions. Alex has always been a rather quiet and private person (though he enjoys people greatly). He has not sought to be a celebrity though he is very well known within his field. Some of his clients have been with him for over 25 years. However, he does find his way into books and magazines. An entire chapter is devoted to Alex in the book, Channelers, A New Age Directory (The Putnam Publishing Group). Brother Lion by Jeanne Livingston (Health Communications, Inc.) is a collection of teachings channeled by Alex during his regular group trance sessions in New York . Alex is featured in Psychic New York by Particia Collins (City and Company, New York ). Most recently, an extensive, channeled communication done via automatic writing can be found in the book, The Haunting of the Presidents by Martin and Birnes (Signet) as well as innumerable periodicals both here and abroad, in English and in foreign languages. |
